I think you missed my point entirely. I wasn't worried about missing out on lost income because of going to a convention. My point was that most of the info you need to make money in this biz are in chat boards and in wm resource sites [and in your server logs]. While I see the recreational value in conventions, I'd rather communicate via ICQ or YIM and see no advantage lost.

The moment they start telling convention goers "secret formulas" re improving conversion ratios and dramatically increasing traffic, that is when I'll start going. Other than that, I'd rather stay at home and keep learning.

BTW, I also do this full time.

There are some of us who make this a fulltime living( like I do now) or those who do this to earm extra money on top of holding down a fulltime job. SOme people just cant spend the money to attend one of these things and then not make any money. With any convention have a plan and stick to it.This buisness is built on the relationships we make either online,on the phone,or in person. I can honetly say I remember the people I met offline will stick out more than those I chat with on ICQ ( no offense all my ICQ folks)
