I remember when American Psycho came out - caused a shit load of uproar so I thought I would read it - very good book. So I'm reading it on the subway when I get to the part where he is in a restraunt with some model chicks and he is talking about how airheadeed they are and they start to discuss the solar system - this part is very funny and I started laughing - couldn't help it - it was really funny - well you should have seen the looks I was getting from some of the other passangers on the train - there were people who wanted this book banned because of the violence - I just thought it was really good and really funny - it was after all nothing more than a satirical look at life in the decadent '80's.
