There is one way out of this mess for the US.
They have to show the Iraqis they will be a LOT better off because of the invasion than they now perceive they are or will be.
The problem is for most of them life is worse now and until it becomes a lot better because of the American/UK invasion they will continue to hate us.
And as far as they are concerned democracy is worthless. They need hospital, schools, roads, electricity, water and lots of other things.
