True, but depends what you define as criminals.
You'd never get robbed on the street there. The criminals in Puerto Banus are not street-criminals ;)
I cant say the same for certain other parts of Spain though, Alicante and certain regions of it springs to mind...
There is so much crime around those parts its totally out of control. Used to live there as well for a couple years, before moving to Puerto Banus, and it blows.
