6.59am Nures wakes me up (getting to habitual)
7.00am Wheeled to surgery
7.05am Doctor says "Good morning Lindsay"
7.06am I say "Good morning Doc"
7.07am Anesthesiologist says "Good morning Lindsay"
7.08am I say "Good morning Doc"
7.09am Anesthesiologist says "Please start counting backwards from 100"
7.10am I say "100, 99, 98" and I fall into DEEP sleep
7.15am Doctor says "Scalpel"
8.05am LINDSAY NO LONGER HAS TONSILS
8.07am Wheeled to Post Op
8.30am I wake up
8.31am PAIN TO COMMENCE IN EARNEST NOW
8.32am I beg for first painkiller
9.00am I eat first bowl of ice cream
9.02am I beg for second painkiller
So I guess folks, I'll won't be seeing you until about mid-week.
By which time my throat will STILL be killing me, I will still be munching painkillers like Junior Mints, but at least my snoring should be a lot less and I would imagine my stomach already less in girth.
