Dozen people trapped upside down on roller coaster
ANGOLA, Ind. (AP) ? A malfunction on a roller coaster at a northern Indiana amusement park left about a dozen people hanging upside down about 50 feet in the air for about 45 minutes before they were rescued.
Firefighters used ladder trucks to nudge the coaster cars through the loop to an upright position on the Afterburner ride at Fun Spot Amusement Park Saturday afternoon, said T.R. Hagerty of the Angola Fire Department.
"All it needed was a little push to get it over that hump. It was just a matter of a couple inches," said Carri Trine, a manager at the park about 40 miles north of Fort Wayne.

The part I found most intresting was this:
Quote:
A report from the Indiana Homeland Security Web site showed Fun Spot in compliance with inspection requirements.

Now what is the IHSD doing investigating an amusement park? Yet another example of how taxpayer funds are diverted from cause the taxpayers were told they'd be used for.
