I say do exactly the same to israel, what israel does to the palestinians.

You reap what you saw...
And fully agree with "you reap what you sow". That is apparently a hard learning experience for several nations - and not just Israel.

OK.. keeping to the topic of the thread, as usual there is a lot more underneath than the nice simple things of life and some (if not a lot) of it, we know nothing about. Some of that *may* be that it's a totally different scenario "on the ground" than that reported or released to media.

You have two leaders, Ehud Olmert and Ismail Haniyeh - both *presumably* are not dumb men. On either side, despite not being dumb, they have their own "internal problems" to resolve and people to answer to. Those influencing their final policy may well be total nutcases for all we know.

When two leaders are either unable or unwilling to have either formal or informal communication between themselves, - this is a serious kindergarten problem, (tho not rare as was evidenced with the US and France recently), and not in any way helpful to the respective populations they represent.

It is also not helpful.. (gross understatement), when one leader agrees to an airstrike of the other's offices. That is, irrespective of all other issues, such as suicide bombing, kidnapping or other opportunist and unsanctioned military violations. Who knows.. time will tell, but that action may well set back any possible progress or prospect of peace for years - and it not helpful to either the citizens of Israel or Palestine.

We don't know... least at this stage, if it is the intention of the Israeli govt to avoid any form of peace deal with their neighbors. Sounds insane, but there may be other broader issues and intervention/messing by others.

Despite that... it's hard to use simplifed labels and racist terms to decry one side or the other. It is clear both have valid issues which need resolving. External help can be useful - as long as their is no other vested-interest attached with the giving of that help.

Bottom line.. don't matter which nation, it is the responsibilty above all else, for leaders of both Israel and Palestine to ensure their respective populations are free to permit a lifetime without war or aggression. A little give and take on both sides may go some way to reaching that goal.

Racism and hate has no role in any of this - it is not helpful.
