Nectar Finds Success with Brazilian Line

CHATSWORTH, Calif. - When Nectar Entertainment rolled out its first series of titles shot in Brazil last year, it knew it was on to something.

?We saw that people were really responding,? said Eric Avalon, who along with Marty Zion, directed the titles.
?So we decided to go down there again start shooting even more.?
Today, the company?s Brazil-themed titles are pushing its current success, making up 75 percent of the company?s sales. It was just three years ago that the fledgling company was making a name for itself with stylized gonzo titles, marked by high production values and hot girls having nasty sex.
But it would take a handful of Brazilian girls in barely-there bikinis who love to fuck and suck to elevate the company in a crowded market place.
It was just three years ago that the company was founded to produce high-end, wall-to-wall titles and features, leading to its harder offshoot label, dubbed First Strike.
Avalon, Zion and CEO Sean Logan felt that tropical-themed movies could be the ticket for the company?s future.
?There were other companies out there with these ?island-type? movies, but I felt we could do them better with top-of-the-line cameras and great-looking girls,? said Avalon, who is also the company?s vice president of post production.
Using its connections with a small underground group of performers, directors and producers in Brazil, the company set about producing its high-end gonzo titles featuring hot, young Brazilian women and their boyfriends.
?These are all native girls, many of which have never been shot before, so we get to look at these girls having sex in front of the camera for the first time. You can see all the nervousness and the anticipation in there and that makes it hot,? he said.
?Most of the girls only shoot with their boyfriends and that?s fine with us because they get pretty wild.?
With such titles as Brazilian Island, Lost in Paradise Island and Exxxtasy Island, the company has gained ground in the battle for shelf space.
?We realize we?re the only ones out there making movies out there with this kind of quality,? Avalon explained.
With high-definition cameras and color-corrected images to accentuate the dramatic tropical scenery, Nectar?s titles have a style of their own, he says.
?We want to take advantage of this great scenery so we shoot a lot of what?s out there and it looks great.?
But he admitted that the girls are the ultimate attraction.
?These are all native girls," Avalon continued. "They have an exotic look that you can?t find here or anywhere else, practically. And they love to get on camera and fuck.?
Featuring anals, double penetrations, girl-on-girl and rough hardcore face and pussy fucking, the native girls show they can get as nasty as their North American counterparts.
Meanwhile Nectar plans to release Young Asses of Tahitian Island, with Giselle and Sabrina Ferrari on June 21, followed by Young Asses on Fire, featuring Giselle and Tati set for July 19.
