This must be a joke. No way I would ever give my hosting those documents.
It's not about hiding something. It's about respect. They don't show respect if they ask you about that, like you were a default spammer or cheater... I hate that.
If my host ever ask me about that, I will just move on, there are thousands of companies out there nowadays to chose from.
