Acting as if you allready made it is good for motivating yourself if you can ultimatley pull it off. However, if you dont, realize you will eat alot of crow and its hard to earn the trust back of all the people who believed in you. Most people do not understand or have the ball to try to make things happen. After starting several business from scratch it made me realize its smarter to take the humble road and if you think your the big dog remember there is allways someone bigger.
Not "you" but in general. Not sure of the ending of the story but good post.
