I don't know why you don't want to continue with your program. Seems like you have taken a step back and see what you did wrong. You seem to have come clean and I'm sure most people can give you respect for that.
So why not just stick it out and see where it goes? Who gives a shit if you take some crap from a few trolls here at least you have done something that they probably couldn't.
