The NRA tries to promote this myth that the more citzens that have guns the safer we are. Someone please show me the gun death rate of Dodge City Kansas circa 1870-1890 vs today. According to this theory there should have been LESS guns deaths durring the old west than today. I'm 100% it's quite the opposite. The fact that if I'm in a restaurant and some robber comes in with a gun, that some Dirty Harry wannabe that can't hit the broad side of a barn to save his life, also has a gun does NOT make me feel safer.
