Because he is a prick. He has taken (for example) every opportunity that ever presented itself to badmouth me and my company and our business practices.
That is his right, he can talk smack about me all day... but he has spent his free time making my life harder by perpetuating lies about me and bashing me every opportunity he has.
Accordingly I have zero sympathy while he flounders and lives under a birdge while trying to convince himself that a job for $40k a year is beneath him.
People who work hard and take advantage of opporunities rarely have to beg.
