in case no one has noticed... the rest of the middle east and the rest of the world for the most part, is fairly quiet on the issue. if you don't understand that or see that... then you are too young to remember the chaos of past conflicts in the area and how it echoed throughout the world. if all this happened 10-20 years ago, there would have been instant protests all over the world, in every country with millions of people... every embassy would have 100,000 people in front protesting, chanting and burning flags etc etc etc etc etc.
thats not happening.
why?
because most of these countries who would normally be completely up in arms realize that the threat these groups represent to their own safety and security and the stability of their own governments (most of which are on shaky ground anyway) is far greater in the year 2006 than the benefits they offer. arabs for the most part seem to be getting tired of extremists and extremist groups.
WWIII???? hardly. other than the random, obligatory political condemnations and statements againts one side or the other by other nations... no one cares. no one is doing anything about it.... because its in everyones interest that militant, extremist groups just go away and the attitudes of these governments that harbor these groups change.... its even in the interest of the host countries which can no longer contain and control them to see them go away.
