Mmmm.. Freedom can mean more to some than others and can cover a wide range of things - often based on "priorities".
Generally freedom is minimal interference in individual life. Freedom is a state of having the right to do as you wish within commonly accepted social standards, generally unfettered and unobstructed. Freedom is the right of self-determination - the list can be endless.
When some "authority" dictates you may not visit this county or that etc - that imposes on individual freedom.
When an authority imposes taxation on it's citizens who are resident in other nations - that is not freedom, more serfdom.
When an authority places obstacles in the path of individuals in their rights to self-determination - that is not freedom.
There are plenty more examples other than the three above - but all three currently apply to the US and a few other nations.
Screw what anyone or any nation says or claims - I'm prob one of the first in line to protect individual freedoms, irrespective who they are or whatever their beliefs are.
