I would think it is more than 50% that is just squandered by idiots. Ironic when you think of the billions spent on some "star wars" project when folks in the US are still straving, medical costs are a joke and the poverty level is high and increasing. Folks in the US work longer hours than any other "western civilized" country and have one of the lowest periods of time spent on vacations.

You work around 75-90 days a year to pay Uncle Sam some tax - that is much the same in any high tax regime country, - but ya kinda wonder after a while!
