Well there are 2 types of sores people get on their mouth. The first type are canker sores. The second type are cold sores aka fever blisters. The first is normal and everyone gets them on their lips, tongue, or somewhere in their mouth, from time to time. The second type of sores is herpes known as (HPV1), but if transmitted to the genital area, will cause genital herpes (HPV2).
I would say 98% of people do not know the difference between the two.
