1. ability to hide registrant info via registrar proxy
2. lock/unlock account via phone contact & secret question(s).. ie if the account is "locked down" no changes can be made whatsoever, even if you're logged in with the correct username/password... you must call the registrar and correctly answer the secret question(s) to "unlock" the account
i understand directnic offers #2, but not the first criteria... anyone know any registrars that offer both?
this is in response to the latest series of domain hijacks via hacked free webmail services.. (hotmail, gmail, etc.)... scary stuff...
