I am not trying to be a smart ass as I know that you have really done your job as being the single girl site king but I want to be the single girl site queen and this is where it starts for me. I guess I feel like if I offer a good enough deal I will get some good contestants but as I learned long ago not everything works out. For me I am just ready to take a chance I am very excited for this! I will work my ass off and make it work and that's it! If for some reason they don't fulfill there contract no they won't be paid the last $60k I mean that is pretty obvious if you break your contract you don't get paid. If it lasts and doesn't make at least $60k I am doing pretty much everything wrong I make more then that in one month so I am pretty sure I can make at least enough over the 13 months to cover it. When I won GND of the Year for Gallery Magazine a couple years ago I had a contract to fulfill and I got my last big pay almost a year after I did my last shoot so yea this is how contracts work in this business. If I would of broke that contract I would not of been paid the rest of my money and really could have been sued according to there contract. I am not going to stoop that low if they break it they are out but I won?t go after any monies they have been paid up to that date I am giving some chick as you put it $100k and a new car to drive and a place to live. Like I said it's all a risk but one I am willing to take! I didn't get to where I am now without taking chances and I still have so much more I want to do. I am now taking on more of the business side of things and in doing so I know there will be ups and downs. However, one thing sticks out in my mind and I want to share it with you just in case you haven't already thought about it.
You are promoting this as a " Contest " and it seems to me that if you have a " contest " you have to have a winner. I once was involved with a nightclub that had a " calendar girl " contest and they held a contest to find 12 girls to be in their nightclub calender. I was the photographer. As it turned out, in a city filled with beautiful girls, only average girls turned out for the contest. The nightclub tried to get out of making the calendar but one girl rasied a big stink and the calendar HAD to be made. They couldn't give them away.
I think what you are doing is a " Model Search " not a contest and even though you have layed out your rules for the " contest " I'm not sure they would hold up in court if some girl pressed it like the one did the nightclub.
I'm not sure but I think there are actual laws governing " contests " and they vary from state to state. Might be worth looking into given that what you are planning is going to be so widely publicized.
I'm not trying to shoot you down, I'm just thowing this out there just in case it matters. I'd hate to find out you got into a big hassle later and it could have been avoided if you had known.

Same here, I am looking into opening a gym, I have been studying it and different franchises for about a year now, its a pain in the ass opening a business in a real store... if you follow all the laws... plus one of the equipment companies I was talking to sold my information to a management company now they are bothering me with mail and phone calls about how they can manage the gym for me, run it, order everything... all I have to do is pay for it all....geesh....
But I am not sure what else I want to do, nothing has the profit margin I am making now and in the last 6 months my profits are almost doubled from the previous 6 months... I am almost back to the year 2000 level.. 2001 was so bad for me and most people I know... it took along time to recover from it.
