I wonder if that has anything to do with Iraq NOT agreeing to disarm themselves as per that resolution? I don't like any wars, especially when we're starting them... but sometimes it seems as though bloody carnage "close to home" is the only thing which can distract the religous rights' attention from their predatory hunt on "immorality" here at home.
Whether fighting wars abroad or prosecuting folks at home, some people just aren't happy unless we're fuckin' up someone's day. (not referring to your Uncle there, just right-wing thinking in general)
