These have been exagerated slightly who doesn't in this industry
, but we are not going to give you the exact figures on this board, or any board in fact. Like most of the other sites with these sorts of numbers. We have Approx 30,000 Asian members with a retention of 5 months +
Traffic coming to our site ?
99bb in Asia is pretty much a brand. we have a reputation for providing uncensored Japanese Movies. It would be the same for the large sites in the West. Dont want to name any, as there are so many, hence the saturation of the market.
we get over 100,000 a day visitors to our Site from Japan alone, which is where most of our members are from. China is the next biggest source at 50,000 + however our Chinese members are non existant. Please dont believe the hype about China being the next big thing. Not for another few years yet anyway. They just want the free stuff and bolt, hence why I'm sure alot of the western sites are seeing an upsurge in Chinese and Taiwanese traffic ?????
Korean traffic is pretty good. Not alot of it at the moment, approx 15000 hits but it is converting pretty well
Payment methods ?
About 95% of our Asian members pay via Credit Card. We do not even offer a JCB card, but this is changing. 5% pay via post. Therefore this proves that the Asians are willing to pay over the Internet with Credit Cards
How and why figures are as they are ?
As LostMind has said, there is little free porn available in Japan, and the stuff that there is, is often Censored. Hence, alot of them will visit "Western" owned TGP's for their free content. In Asia, the common method of advertising/gaining traffic is via Reviews. Lots of sites will write a fair bit about you, show several tame pictures and thats it. Jesus, how novel, some honesty!!!!! Like someone said in the thread, deceiving the visitor into thinking he will be seeing Asians, when in fact he isn't just isn't done. Unlike the west.
Eru and Mech mentioned several sources of decent traffic. These are basically the equivalents of the Hun et al but dont offer free content, just review and links.
What content do they like ?
Brujah mentioned about this, and yes, we are finding that our members are after different content. Most of the Japanese Movies are much the same, bar the different girls. that is why we have a selection of Full Length European and Us Titles to keep them amused. Admittedly most of them are hardcore stuff, SM bizarre etc.. as this is the sort of thing most of them are after.
Shoplifter seems to know his stuff on the Asian market, DMM is indeed a great site. There are also a number of others that I'm sure have far more scope in the market than 99bb or HGMO do.
western sites getting into the Asian Market?
There are very few sites out there that have Japanese translations, and even if they do, you need a Japanese support team, knowhow in the Market etc, etc... Admittedly their command of English is good, but the majority would prefer to deal in Japanese for sure.
