I did not want to walk through the detector barefoot because the floor is a breeding ground for bacteria. I ALWAYS wear sandals when I fly because SOME airports allow me to walk through the detector with them on... they do not have metal so they do not set it off. Easy to pass. The ports that want you to remove shoes, I ask for a hand inspection, no problem. Until now. |
I do the same ... I wear my Reef black sandals everytime I fly. Some try and make me take them off and I just look at them and show my feet with a look of "are you kidding me?" Usually I get through ... it sucks when I'm flying for work or going to Vegas and I look decent and decide to wear heels or something. I'm with you on the floor being nasty, they actually have these booty things now I think. Either way, gross. I always walk on the sides of my feet when I do have to take my shoes off.
