Being sick just brings everyone's frustrations to the surface and you start torpedoing everything around you. I've got a pinched nerve in my back and an ulcer, I can barely walk, can't put on my own socks, am throwing up all the time, and the pain killers I've got just get me really high so I can't get any work done.
Yes, PCness is crap. This is what happens when you start trying to run things/society/tv strictly on emotions rather than be realistic.
