Never buy a expensive bike as your first bike, i had a CB350 as my first bike and i dropped it, beat the piss out of it and they gave it to my friend to learn on,then i bought my first harley. I was thinking the same thing .. I want something i can beat up and not worry .. I was looking at used bikes last year in the $5k range and Mr Izzz told me the same thing ... just buy a beater because you'll drop it ... he said he's even gotten off his first bike to get gas and forgot to put the stand down
and i think it's pretty cool looking ..
