I'm telling you, the guy was fucking good. There was no "obvious" way of telling what he was doing. You just had to be there I guess, I've tried to describe it as best I could to you all.

Well, but you were in a dark bar, probably after a few beers, it's not exactly impossible that he could have switched the full deck that he showed you, for a deck that contained only 10 of diamonds as he turned the cards over...
I know you will probably say, no way that is what happened, I was watching his hands all the time, etc... but these guys are pros, all you need is some hand waving, some distracting story to go along, and you can turn a quarter into a pigeon right in front of your eyes....
