After researching the new law, I have to agree, our most precious constitutional rights just got tossed out the door and the government gained enormous power to basically do whatever they want with total impunity.
Although, it obviously won't be widely deployed in the worst way it could. The fact that it is on the books is troubling.
The new law gives the President and government agencies the ability to label anyone a "threat" to the United States, and operate exactly how a dictatorship does by stripping anyone they want to nail of all their basic legal rights entirely.
Scary times indeed.
