Much like shaving, I have never understood the overall benefit to the program. I of course am responding in the "long term" tense.

I don't think you are going to be able to detect it, at least not from what I can tell. How do you detect it? The way i see it working they pop open a new window with their code in it, how do you know that url has anything to do with spyware unless someone reports it ? Thats the main thing I want to get out of this thread, sponsors to saw whether they support it or not. If they don't I (and hopefully many other affiliates) will make sure to report it everytime we see their affiliate program being pushed through spyware and would expect (since they dont support it) that the account would be taken down immediately.
I don't see the benefits of allowing this to happen either. Apparently there is more to it since some companies refuse to say they will not allow it.
