I'm not familiar with "zango and other such trickery" so I really can't.

Unfortunately there isn't much you can do about things that take control of the browser and change things. The server just knows what it gets from the browser and thats all NATS knows also. It has no way of knowing what is going on at the browser end as far as that goes.
However, if someone does know a method to prevent spyware type apps from screwing with things we'd love to hear it and would be more than happy to impliment it. The problem is I don't think there is one.
