giving god control of your life goes against the basic principal of life (if you believe the whole thing)...god has given you free will to choose what you think is right or wrong, to live how you think is the way he would want you to live. the idea of giving him control contradicts this and makes it sound like you don't know whats right or wrong but i guess there nothing better than tieing up your common sense with a rubber hose and shooting up with god... or at least the god that modern christianity created.
