Movie chains are the large conglomerate toilets into which mass distributors excremate blockbusters year round. Although there are a few gems occasionally.
Only medium to large cities have movie houses (art house theaters). Im lucky. I didnt grow up in a shitty part of the states. People dont freak out about a work of fiction, and there are about 10 or 12 movie houses within a 15 mile diameter.

Usually showed Rocky Horror on Saturday nights and had all kinds of independent stuff showing all the time. Never usually showed the mainstream crap. Once in a while an old horror flick like Psycho or something. Cool atmosphere.
