You're laughing at the best advice you've gotten so far.
1. Saying "You're pretty" is a waste of approach. They already fucking know that and they also have heard it a million times and they know you would say that even if they were ugly.
2. Chicks put a lot of thought into buying shoes and stuff. Showing you appreciate her taste is a fast track into her mind.
3. Her shoes have nothing to do with her body and therefore is not a sexual "come on" line.
4. It seems like it's dumb to you because you think what girls value is dumb and that's why you can't get any pussy.
5. You'll never come up with a "pick up" line that a girl hasn't heard that makes any sense. That's third grade dumb shit. The best pick up line is
"Hi, my name is Blah...I really like your(X)"
X= shoes, dress, hair, eyes, smile, hand bag...etc just stay away from body parts.
Guys with "clever" pick up lines get "shot down" by chicks all the time.
A chick is going to look/feel really stupid if she shoots you down because you complimented her attire in a non-sexual way.
If she shoots you down after you tell her you like her shoes and guys near by are smirking then just say "Well, good thing I didn't say her ass was too fat" then walk striaght to the bar or waitress and order a shot and tip big.
Why, because another chick was looking and she thought the other girl was a bitch and you've got confidence, know what your drink is and you're not cheap. She'll keep her eye on you for a while and maybe even approach you.
