While I understand being opposed to male circumcision, It's totally not appropriate to equate most types of female genital mutilation with male circ. FGM is done in a variety of different ways, and there's a big difference between snipping a little off the hood (akin to male circ) and cutting off the whole clit and/or labia and/or sewing what's left of her labia shut save for a tiny hole.

What this guy did (or his wife's family did , which actually sounds pretty likely since it's usually considered woman's work to mutilate the girls) would be as extreme as cutting off a guy's dick except that there's no urethra in a girl's clit, so comparing cutting the foreskin to cutting off an entire organ is really offensively inaccurate.

Girls DIE from FGM and it's not commonly performed in a sterile environment by medical professionals; you cannot say the same things of male circ.

Go ahead and protest male circumcision all you want, but don't act like it's the same thing as the chopping and hacking off of women's genitals. It's not. And no, there is absolutely no hygenic reason to do this to women; using that as an excuse is completely backwater stoopid. The people who use that argument are the ones who put baby powder and corn meal and towels in and up women's cunts before they fuck them because they think dry pussy is more pleasurable.
