That is why the metric system is actually an easier form of measurement than the standard (our way)?
It doesn't take anymore intelligence to understand either way, just different measuring tools. Almost all the tools I have at my house have both. I believe you lack critical thinking skillz my friend. Think about it. Your statement is agenda driven because you hate this country, therefore causing you to blind yourself from fact because emotions are in your way.
In the 80's I believe we tried the metric out. That would have been a better time, now we are too big. So as Anthony said cost would be play a factor.
My answer would be, THE PEOPLE. If we decided to start using it businesses would change and start using it and viola. We control what WE want. Why do you think everyone comes HERE to make money? Because we BUY stuff when WE like it. So if WE decided WE wanted to use it, it could happen. The free market will choose not some bureaucrat/bureaucracy. ththththththt
We left Europe, why would we want to be like the people we left behind? We left to get the hell away from them and formed this country, which is now filled with people from ALL OVER THE WORLD, because our way WORKS better and we have access to both because of that reason. Otherwise we wouldn't be number ONE! That last statement is going to hurt some of you and the ones it does are the ones who know it is true and HATE IT!

And again, for anyone who said stupid, YOU ARE stupid. Understanding the metric system is the same as standard, our way. You have to remember the same numbers in a different way, and like I said before, the metric system is actually easier once understood. It's just a different measuring language. So your IQ wouldn't have anything to do with it. But the fact that YOU think WE should change to the way YOU like, and YOU think WE are stupid for not doing what YOU want, shows that you lack critical thinking skills BIG TIME. What made you the BIG GUY that we have to change to YOUR way? You hate us for not changing to your way. I believe that is called projection. Why don?t you change to our way? You hate us for not conforming, but yet you are demanding we conform. A little hypocritical if you ask me. That or you are just immature and guided by your little feelers in life still.
