I don't think that Christians have used the bible to disprove anything that rational thinking men of science have come up with. 
The ONLY people that have ever proved rational thinking men of science wrong about anything, are fellow rational thinking scientists.....
Christians can't be bothered by things like "facts", "evidence", or "truth". They all get in the way of their ancient mythical belief structures.
