one night i was up really really late.. into the wee hours of the morning. my fiance had already gone to bed and so i was in the living room by myself. our computers are in the same corner so if his makes a sound i will obviously hear it, and vice versa. we also have a glass sliding door to our back yard, in our living room, right next to our computers.
so he left his icq open.. and that knocking sound went off.. i about had a heart attack, seriously.. i thought that someone had broken the lock on the fence in our backyard and was now tapping on my door. it took me literally like thirty seconds to realize that it sounded way too familiar, and what it was really coming from.. but god until i realized that i was one scared bitch!
