i see they have a free Audiovox PC5740 EV-DO PC Card if you signup for the $80/month 2-year plan, they pitch it as speeds "up to 2.4mbps".

anyone know what the true upload and download speeds might be? i need to use my laptop when traveling.

is there any better wireless broadband system in the usa?
