I have that setup and it's useful. I like to work from various places so it's nice to have, although the speed isn't always the greatest. Depending on the signal, down speed can be around 50-100kbps (uses National Access network), but with a good signal, I get between 400-700kbps (connects to Broadband Access network). Can't recall upload, but it's not the greatest so hopefully you don't have to upload too much.

Be sure to tweak your modem settings once you install the hardware/software, otherwise it won't connect at a fast speed. I had to change the max modem speed in a few places and just put it at the highest setting.

If you're going to be traveling and not sure if you will always have a hotspot to connect to, it's probably the best, or one of the best options available. Plus, with hotspots, they tend to filter ports and/or content whereas this is wide open.

Also, if you have a Verizon account, it's $60 instead of $80.
