the whole reason I have a Plat. AMEX, I get way more free in a year then their fee is.
Also its first class or business even
a business is usually only about double the cost of coach, and on a 10 hour flight business class is so much nicer.

I can carry a USD and CDN ballance on mine. The USD has a different number so I just pay it online out of my US account.
