A buddy of mine told me about this:
A few years ago he knew a guy that only wanted one thing in life, to own a Suzuki GSXR 1100. So he worked his ass off , bought one, got all the cool leathers and matching helmet, etc. Well, he should have invested in some riding lessons.
The way the cops figured from the skidmarks, is that this guy was probably doing over 100MPH when his bike went into a skid, hit a curb and sent him flying into a chainlink fence.
He probably would have been ok if the bike, which was also doing over 100MPH and weighed probably about 600 pounds ALSO went flying into the fence, effectively pushig him THROUGH the chainlink not unlike a piece of meat through a grinder.
The paramedics that arrived on the scene said they had never, ever seen anything so horrific as a human body pushed through a goddamn chainlink fence.
Needless to say, I still want a motorbike, but I sure as hell won't get a crotch-rocket like that. Those things are meant for EXPERT riders. Nobody, and I don't care how big and strong you are, NOBODY has any business piloting an 1100cc superbike as their first ride, with little or no training. That's fucking suicide.
