I've seen examples on both sides of the fence. My grandmother lived to be around 90 or 91 and she was 'fat' (as in overweight, but not obese) her entire life (or at least from the pictures of her when she was younger and what she looked like). I've seen people who were skinny as a bean pole, who exercised regularly and watched what they ate only to die in their 40's from heart attacks. It's crazy how much a role genetics play in your health.
