Not quite.
They deemed the SITE in question as illegal and shut it down. They did not deem the thumb linking the site as illegal. That thumb pertains to it's corresponding gallery, and those thumb links are run by a script that skims some of the traffic and sends it out to trades. When that happens people need to realize that the thumb becomes basically a blind link.
Feds are obviously going to have to be educated about how these scripts and sites and thumbs work, and I have no doubt that it will take several court cases in order to accomplish that, sadly.
