Slick - have you been able to get IDs from sponsors yet? The sites that are still up have a lot of questionable looking thumbs (to me) & I wouldn't leave this matter to just firing an email to a support address. Get at least a few IDs to DirectNic & maybe that will be enough to get your sites up & making money again so you can fund your lawyer.
With the current privacy laws I think it's insane for DirectNic to expect personal data to be handed out freely, but I certaintly wouldn't want to be in the position of arguing that point while my sites were locked down.
