I do believe in equality however we'd be foolish not to analyze and pull information from statistics.
Profilling has really gotten a bad rap because it suggests that some groups of people are worse than others. What Profilling really does is use statistics to gain an understanding of who is more likely to do X.
Whether or not anyone likes it, profilling is invaluable in fighting not just terrorism but crime as well.
