try this out.........

With the emergence of a global economy, multination corporations are playing a huge role in the international political economy. This is primarily due to the act of conducting business in several countries, and countries understanding the importance of doing business on a global level. Certain incentives are commonly offered to businesses to move abroad, as are added benefits for the government in power in those regions. But there is no doubt that raising of an economy by adding new jobs into the workforce.

Reactions most certainly have changed to multinational corporations. The 80?s and 90?s had shows a huge boom in companies moving operations to other countries. Most likely lowered costs and tax benefits are to be cited as the reason for movement. In the U.S there was a slight backlash as manufacturing jobs started moving out of the country. But that outcry was silenced by consumers and other companies looking for lower priced goods and services. Allegations of corruption are commonly a key factor in trying to discourage companies for doing business abroad, but only in the eyes of the U.S. government. In other countries it is simply business as usual. It might be argued that the same corruptions happen within the U.S. Government and those that would be benefiting for the commerce in the states are trying to stir up controversy.

Regulation is something to be considered but in general should not be enacted. More often than not the regulation does nothing more than increase the size of government and yield little to no results. Typically the regulations that are enacted have no effect on the multination corporation, since any regulation will still have large loopholes that the corporation could use to avoid any new regulations. In the ideal global economy and capitalist society the corporate competition would end up better regulating themselves than any singular government could imagine accomplishing.
