I prefer to keep a TV in my room and not in ANY other room in the house. That way, when a girl comes over, you say "would you like to watch a DVD?" to which she will usually answer "yes" then you say "well, we have to watch it in my room" and guess what is NOT in my room....any furniture to sit on other than the bed. I put on a boring DVD and it's on like Donkey Kong.
