I believe the goal of most homeless people (panhandlers) is to drink and get free money from guilt ridden working people in order to not have to have responsibility and or to feed their addictions. So, if that is their goal they are certainly achieving it successfully. I remember that song "Mr. Wendell". One of the lines was 'he gives me some knowledge, I buy him some shoes.' It always bugged me since I do not believe much knowledge can be gained from someone who can't buy shoes. Unless, the knowledge would be how not to be able to buy shoes.
