BETTER ECONOMIC CONDITIONS and continued resilience of the U.S. consumer will help 2003 U.S. ad spending to reach $249.3 billion, back to the boom levels of 2000 before the Internet bubble burst, Universal McCann?s director of forecasting Bob Coen said at the UBS Warburg media conference in New York. U.S. ad spending in 2000 totaled $247.5 billion. In 2001, ad spending fell to $231.3 billion.
