Line 6 seems to be really tasty, I jammed last night with a crew and the one guitarist had one, Screaming tones, really nice.
$2500 is a bit steep for an amp that has to be drug in and out on the road, the massive electronics just make me think of more things to break at a gig, but they sound great.
Maybe for a home recording situation, I played on the road a few years, and shit only breaks 5 minutes before you are set to go on, there is no local music store to get parts, etc.
Nothing beats a Fender amp for being reliable. They are truly road worthy amps. I use no effects, right into the amp only, and use the channel switching from clean to dirty.
Best thing I got recently for a guitarist is a nasty wireless. They totally rock out, no more cords to trip over after a few brews. And you can play all over the house thru your amp. Totally worth the investement of like $200.00
