What kind of questions are you told to ask to verify if a chargeback is valid in each case? Are you supposed to investigate the claim or are most of the people that work with you fairly quick on the refund trigger?
I also wanted to chargeback on a host that took an extra payment after I left, but I had to write a letter to even start the process. That was cibc visa.
Now I use American express for everything I can because they are very very good on stuff like that. Although I never needed to ask for a charge to be removed so far.
