I recommend the GayDT home security kit.

All you need is a TV and a DVD player in every room on the first floor. Before going to sleep for the night, activate the GayDT security system--slip in a solid hardcore gay feature into each DVD player and turn all TVs on (Mute them if you are a light sleeper).

Studies show that most home invaders are more frightened of guy-on-guy action than they are of a thirty-aught-six.

Granted, this system will not work against the gay burglar, but studies also show that the average homosexual has a nicer house than you do anyway.
